Duterte’s chopper not cleared to go to Marawi: PDP-Laban

The Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan ( PDP-Laban) on Friday said President Rodrigo Duterte’s helicopter was not given clearance to take off from Davao City due to bad weather.

“Our Party Chairman President Mayor Rody Duterte wasn't able to attend the scheduled PDP Laban campaign rally in Marawi City today due to bad weather,” PDP-Laban said in a statement.

“PRRD's ( President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's) helicopter wasn't given clearance to take off from Davao City,” it added.

PDP-Laban said they will try to get another schedule for Duterte to visit candidates and leaders in Lanao del Sur.

“We can still consider the Marawi City rally a successful one since most of the Party's senatoriables were able to personally meet and deliver their messages to our partymates, leaders, and supporters in Marawi City,” it said.

PDP-Laban said Duterte will be in Saturday's event in Malaybalay, Bukidnon. Ella Dionisio/DMS
