Fil-Japanese among two arrested in Makati entrapment operation

Two students, including a Fil-Japanese, were arrested in an entrapment operation in Makati City Monday morning.

National Capital Region Police Director Guillermo Eleazar said a delivery driver appeared at the Police Community Precinct 3 in Makati City and reported a suspicious item which resulted to the arrest of the person.

“The driver wants to open the package for delivery but the suspect did not want to prompting him to go to the PCP in Makati instead of delivering it,” Eleazar told reporters.

Upon checking the items placed in a box of cigarette, police found seven pieces tablet of suspected ecstacy.

Authorities conducted a follow-up operation at Unit 736 inside Cityland condominium located at Dela Rosa St., Brgy Pio Del Pilar around 7am.

“The station drug enforcement unit was assigned (for the operation) they were able to trace the location of the suspect and through plain view they were different kinds of party drugs. Upon inspection, they also saw residue of cocaine, suspected shabu and paraphernalia and documents that showed his transaction,” Eleazar said.

During the inventory, one of the Fil-Japanese’s supplier texted him to inform him of another delivery.

Eleazar said a police officer poised as buyer resulting to the arrest of Ralph Jeffrey Esteban,  23.

Recovered during the operations were party drugs with an estimated street value of around P1.5 million.

Eleazar said the Fil-Japanese has been living in the country for more than 10 years but according to him he started this late last year.

“According to him, he was influenced… his buyers were also students like him,” said Eleazar.

Both persons will face charges for violating  the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs  Act.  Ella Dionisio./DMS
