Filipino worker stabbed by compatriot in Saudi Arabia: DFA

A Filipino worker allegedly stabbed a countryman to death in Saudi Arabia, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Wednesday.
''The DFA is closely coordinating with authorities in Saudi Arabia who are investigating the death of a Filipino worker allegedly in the hands of a fellow Filipino in Riyadh on Monday,'' the DFA said in a statement.
The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh said the victim was stabbed for unknown reasons by the suspect at their shared accommodation.
Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Adnan Alonto expressed the embassy’s condolences to the family of the victim, who is from Pampanga.
Alonto assured them the embassy will exert every effort to obtain justice for the victim and In the early repatriation of his remains. DMS
