Fishing boat allegedly rammed by Chinese returns to Mindoro Occidental

The fishing boat that was allegedly rammed by a Chinese fishing vessel at the vicinity of Recto Bank in West Philippine Sea arrived in Mindoro Occidental on Saturday.
Capt. Armando Balilo, Philippine Coast Guard spokesman, said fishing vessel Gemver 1 was towed from West Philippine Sea.
“(It was) towed, (the vessel) needs repair,” he said.
“Just now, it was raised (from the waters off) … Occidental Mindoro,” he added.
A short video provided by the PCG shows people in the area, pulling the fishing vessel.
It can be recalled that on Wednesday, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana announced the collision between a Filipino and a Chinese fishing vessels near the Recto Bank in West Philippine Sea on June 9.
According to Lorenzana, Gemver 1 with 22 Filipino fishermen onboard was sank after it was hit by the Chinese fishing vessel while it was anchored near the Recto Bank on the evening of June 9. Robina Asido/DMS
