Five dead in NLEX vehicular accident

Five people died and several were wounded in a vehicular accident along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Apalit, Pampanga Saturday afternoon.
Based on a report by the Apalit municipal police, a Hyundai H-100 van carrying 15 passengers were traversing northbound part of NLEX from Manila heading towards Clark Airport in Pampanga.
As the van reached an elevated portion of the road in Barangay Tabuyoc, the left rear tire blew up, causing the vehicle to lose control and flip over.
All passengers were brought to different hospitals, but five were declared dead on arrival by attending doctors. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
