Five Filipinos reported missing after fishing vessel caught fire off Falklands: DFA

Five Filipino seafarers were reported missing after a 69-man Taiwanese fishing vessel caught fire off Falkland Islands last Feb 11, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Friday.
'The Department of Foreign Affairs remains hopeful that five Filipino seafarers reported missing after their vessel caught fire off the Falkland Islands will be found,'' the DFA said.
Ambassador to the United Kingdom Antonio Lagdameo said the Philippine Embassy in London is trying to get more information.
Lagdameo said the Embassy is closely coordinating with relevant authorities and the manning agency of the Filipino seafarers and is ready to provide assistance. DMS
