Five injured in two fires in Quezon City

Five people were injured, including two firefighters, in a separate incidents in Quezon City last Tuesday, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection.
In a text message, BFP spokesperson Chief Inspector Jude delos Reyes said the fire broke out in a two-story house made of light materials at Ambuklao Mendez Road, Barangay Baesa around 4:30 pm and reached Task Force Bravo before it was put out around 11:11 pm.
Delos Reyes said there were no deaths but four people were injured including two firefighters.
Five hundred houses perished and almost 1,000 families were affected because of the incident.
Report said the origin of fire started at the kitchen area but as to the cause, investigation is still going on.
Meanwhile, around 5 pm, another fire started at two-story shanty located at A-100 Sinagtala St., Barangay Bahay Toro which reached fifth alarm before declared fire out around 10:08 pm.
The fire which started at the ground floor which led to one injury.
Fifty houses were burned and more or less 100 families were affected.
