Four Army soldiers hospitalized after truck skids off road to avoid tricycle in Batangas

Four Army soldiers were hospitalized after their vehicle used to transport relief goods for residents affected by the Taal Volcano eruption involved in an accident in Batangas on Wednesday morning.
Brig. Gen. Marceliano Teofilo, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Joint Task Force Taal Commander, said the incident occured at the vicinity of at Brgy Panadero, Tanauan.
He said the vehicle involved in the accident is a tonner truck of the Philippine Army which is part of the six army truck convoy assisting relief operation of Hinabang Foundation Inc and AFP JTG Taal for the residents affected in Laurel and Agoncillo.
Teofilo said the military truck which was loaded with relief goods while en route to Laurel, Batangas avoided a tricycle when it skided off to a curve and turned to its side on a five-metes ravine around 5 am.
"All four personnel on board were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment," he said.
"The other five trucks proceeded to their destination while retrieval operation was immediately conducted by other members ofJTG Taal," he added. Robina Asido/DMS
