Four PMFC members wounded in encounter vs alleged NPAs in Palawan

Four members of a Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) were wounded in an encounter with alleged members of the New People's Army Thursday morning in Palawan.
Lieutenant Colonel Socrates Faltado, spokesperson of the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) regional police, identified two victims as Patrolman Jayvee Dagsa Golifardo and Patrolman Darwin Duhaylungsod Cadang of 1st PMFC.
“The other two are still for confirmation,” said Faltado.
Initial report said the encounter happened around 10: 30 am at Barangay Maasin, Brooke's Point.
Troops from 1st and 2nd PMFC of Palawan Police Provincial Office were conducting intelligence-driven operation when they encountered an undetermined number of alleged NPAs.
All municipal police stations and other platoons of PMFC with the Armed Forces of the Philippines are conducting checkpoint and chokepoint operations. Ella Dionisio/DMS
