Girl dies after being stabbed by neighbor said to be on drugs in Laguna

A seven-year old girl died after she was stabbed by her 15-year old neighbor who admitted using illegal drugs in San Pedro, Laguna last Wednesday.

A report from San Pedro City Police Station said the suspect was identified as Danilo Ebajo.

Initial investigation said the incident took place around 4 pm along Heredia Compound in Barangay Cuyab after Ebajo found the victim sitting in front of his house and called her to play inside.

Few minutes after, the suspect stabbed the victim many times. She was  brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Suspect was arrested and is at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) where he admitted using illegal drugs.

Authorities are still investigating what could be his motive in committing the crime. Ella Dionisio/DMS
