Health workers not required to secure accreditation IDs from IATF – Nograles
March 23, 2020
Malacanang clarified on Monday that health workers are not required to secure accreditation IDs from the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases during the duration of enhanced community quarantine in the whole of Luzon.
In the "Laging Handa" press briefing, IATF spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Norgrales said the government does not want to further burden the health workers.
"The health workers do not need to get accreditation IDs, because we need to take good care of them as they take good care of us," he said.
Nograles said doctors, nurses, and other workers in the hospitals and other health establishments need to show only their IDs issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission or their companies.
"Our health workers are our real life heroes," the official added.
The IATF has issued guidelines for workers who have to secure accreditation from IATF through concerned government agencies, such as the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
Among them are those working from media. Celerina Monte/DMS
