Husband of second COVID-19 death is stable: hospital

The 72-year-old husband of the first Filipino fatality from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is in stable condition, the Manila Doctors Hospital said Thursday.
In an advisory, Manila Doctors said the husband of the 67-year old Filipina, who died on Wednesday, "as admitted last March 8, 2020. He is currently in isolation and is in stable condition."
Manila Doctors said the man is to be transferred to a referral facility, as per request of family members.
On Wednesday night, the Department of Health (DOH) reported that the woman had died due to COVID-19 at Manila Doctors Hospital. She is the second death and the first Filipino to die from COVID-19.
DOH data showed she did not have history of travel nor exposure to a COVID-19 case.
She was put in isolation pending results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) but "she succumbed to the disease prior to the release of the result from RITM on March 11, 2020," said Manila Doctors. DMS
