Japanese found dead in home in Bataan

A Japanese national was found dead inside his rented house in Bataan last Monday.

Initial report from the Abucay Municipal Police Station said the body of a male Japanese was found inside his residence at Barangay Salian in Abucay, Bataan around 11:30 am.

According to owner of the house, he went to the Japanese's house as they were to go to the bank but he was surprised to find his bloodied body lying on the floor .

Reports said the main door was locked but the back door was open.

The investigator, Police Staff Sergeant Rocky Marciano told The Daily Manila Shimbun said the incident was reported by Barangay Kagawad Modeisto Roxas.

He said based on CCTV footage and witnesses’ testimonies, the Japanese was last seen with a woman which police are eyeing as a suspect.

“According to the witnesses, a woman was last spotted with him before the incident,” Marciano said.

Authorities are looking for the female. Marciano did not disclose her identity as it will affect their case.

“We will not disclose her name for now. Maybe after we file the warrant of arrest against her,” he said.

Marciano said based on the autopsy, the Japanese sustained head injury after he was hit by a solid object in his forehead.

The officer said the victim has been staying in Bataan for almost seven years.



Missing from the victim’s bag are his bank passbook, passport, driver’s license, alien certificate registration card and some documents, Marciano said.
