Lawyer, driver shot dead in Pampanga

A lawyer and his driver were killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen Santa Rita, Pampanga Tuesday.

Three gunmen shot Anselmo Carlos and his driver, Marcial Mendoza, as their Toyota Camry vehicle  stopped in front  of the San Vicente Parish Church in Barangay San Vicente around 9:30 a.m.

Col. Jean Fajardo, Pampanga police director, said the victims were shot in the  head, body, neck and chest. Hospital doctors pronounced them dead on arrival

Carlos came from his home in Floridablanca before the ambush.

Witnesses told probers the gunmen, who wore colored shirts and bullcaps, fled on a Honda Wave motorcycle.

Fajardo said bullet casings from .45 caliber pistols were  recovered by crime scene investigators. DMS
