Locsin says DFA has not presented termination of VFA to US

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr said the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has not submitted its notice of termination on the Visiting Forces Agreement to the United States.
In a Senate hearing Thursday, Locsin said :''We have not sent any notice of termination (of the VFA) to the US but we're prepared to do so.''
Locsin said the notice of termination '' has been prepared.''
''I will send it only upon the direct personal order from the President,'' said Locsin,
Locsin said he is asking the Senate to hold an executive session to discuss the VFA.
The Senate, in 1999, voted 15-8 to approve the VFA. DMS
