Lorenzana objects to suspending military operations vs NPAs on X’mas holidays

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said he objects to a suspension of military operations against the New People's Army (NPA) during the Christmas holidays.
In a text message on Wednesday, Lorenzana said: "We shall not allow the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) to use a suspension of military operations to celebrate their 50th anniversary."
The CPP was founded on December 26, 1969 by Jose Maria Sison, who is now in the Netherlands. DMS
