Lorenzana urges people not to believe ”Bikoy”

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana warns the public not to give credence on the statement of Peter Joemel Advincula, alias ''Bikoy''.

"Let us not be hasty in giving credence to what he is saying," said Lorenzana.

"From what I heard and read he has been lying at every turn," he added.

Last Thursday, Advincula retracted his previous statement against the family and friends of President Rodrigo Duterte and revealed members of opposition including Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and the Liberal Party were engaged in “Oplan Sonoma” which plans to topple the present administration.

After changing his statements, other government officials said Advincula should substantiate his allegations.

Lorenzana said Advincula made his statement to save himself.

"His motive? Of course, to save himself! Let him substantiate what he is saying," he said. Robina Asido/DMS
