LRT-1 extends train schedules until Dec. 31

The Light Rail Transit Line 1 said starting Friday it will extend train operations for the holidays.
Light Rail Manila Corp ( LRMC), private operator of LRT-1, said in a statement that starting from October 25 to December 31 2019 there will be longer train operating schedule.
On weekdays, the last train from Baclaran Station will leave at 10 pm while the last train leaving Roosevelt Station will depart at 10:15 pm. Meanwhile, during weekends and holidays the last train will set off at 9:30 pm and 9:45 pm respectively.
“We are extending the LRT-1 operating hours to accommodate the influx of passengers during the holiday rush. We continue to listen and find ways on how to better serve the needs of our customers,” said LRMC Chief Operating Officer Enrico Benipayo.
The LRT-1 management said train schedule on Christmas Eve (December 24) will be from 4:30 am to 8 pm. For New Year's Eve (December 31), train schedule will be from 4:30 am to 7 pm.
All train operations will be available for riding public on Christmas Day (December 25) and New Year's Day.
"The riding public is advised to be guided accordingly on the changes in schedule and plan ahead during this period," LRMC added.
