Magnitude 5.4 quake hits Dinagat Island

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit Dinagat Island on Monday Morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Around 10:16 am, the earthquake was recorded at 49 kilometers northeast of Loreto town.
The earthquake is expected to cause aftershocks.
Intensity V was reported in Loreto, Dinagat Islands. Intensity IV was felt in Silgao, Southern Leyte.
Phivolcs also recorded intensity III in Hinunangan and Maasin City, Southern Leyte; Tacloban City; Ormoc City, Palo, Hilongos, Bato, Hindang, Babatngon, Javier, MacArthur, Tanauan, Matalom, Abuyog, Isabel, Capoocan and Dagami, Leyte; and Lawaan, Eastern Samar. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
