Magnitude 6.2 quake hits Davao Oriental

A magnitude 6.2 quake shook Davao Oriental Friday evening, with government seismologists saying aftershocks were expected.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ( Phivolcs) the tremor was felt at 6:12 pm. The earthquake, tectonic in origin, had its epicenter at 92 kilometers of Governor Generoso.
Phivolcs said the quake has a depth of at least 76 kilometers.
Intensity V was reported in Mati City while intensity II was felt in Bislig City.
Other intensities recorded by Phivolcs were Intensity IV in Alabel and Kiamba, Sarangani; Intensity III in Kidapawan City; Intensity I in Cagayan de Oro City and Bislig City. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
