Magnitude 6.2 quake hits San Julian, Eastern Samar: Phivolcs

An earthquake measuring magnitude 6.2 struck San Julian in Eastern Samar, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ( Phivolcvs) said Tuesday.
Phivolcs said in its bulletin damage and aftershocks are expected
The earthquake, which occurred at 1:37 pm was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 17 kilometers.
The epicenter was located at 19 kilometers north west of San Julian. .
Intensity V was felt in Tacloban City and Catbalogan City in Samar.
Instrumental intensities was reported at Intensity IV in Masbate City, Legazpi City and Sorsogon City. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
