Man nabbed, P6.9M shabu seized in Cebu buy-bust

Authorities on Saturday confiscated around P6.9-million worth of illegal drugs and arrested a high value target (HVT) in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City.

The Cebu City Police Office identified the suspect as Merasol Bonane, alias Sol, 41. The suspect was arrested in a joint anti-illegal drug operation at Barangay Carreta, Cebu City around 1pm.

Bonane was included in the City’s watch list.

Recovered from the suspect were around 1.15 kilos of suspected shabu with estimated street value of P6,902,000 and other drug paraphernalia.

Bonane would face charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Ella Dionisio/DMS
