Authorities to close some roads in Manila to Rizal Memorial Coliseum during this year’s Southeast Asian Games.
According to the traffic advisory issued by the Manila Police District (MPD) on Saturday, the closure will be implemented at the westbound lane of P. Ocampo St., from Taft Avenue to Adriatico St., and the north and southbound lane of Adriatico St., from President Quirino Avenue to P. Ocampo St., all in Malate.
Authorities in Manila advised the public to take another route designated for the affected vehicles.
Based on its traffic rerouting scheme, the MPD said “all vehicles utilizing westbound lane of P. Ocampo St., coming from Taft Avenue shall go straight to Buendia” while “all vehicles utilizing eastbound lane of P. Ocampo St., intending to utilize Adriatico St., shall go straight to Taft Avenue.”
All the vehicles travelling westbound of President Quirino Avenue intending to utilize Adriatico St., were advised to use Roxas Boulevard while the vehicles traveling eastbound of President Quirino Avenue intending to utilize Adriatico St., should also go to Taft Avenue.
These road closures and rerouting of vehicles will be implemented by the Traffic Enforcement Unit of the Manila Police District during SEA Games 2019.
