Marines receive donations for shooting team

The Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) received firearms from Armscor Global Defense, Inc. for their shooting team on Monday, a spokesman said Tuesday.
Capt. Felix Serapio said the firearms were turned over to the Philippine Marines Corps. in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
"Five units of caliber 9 mm, five units cal.40 mm and three units of shotgun were donated by the Armscor represented by president and CEO of Armscor, Martin Tuazon and the senior executive president and deputy CEO of Armscor, Gina Marie Angangco," he said.
Serapio said in his speech, Major Gen. Alvin Parreno, commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps. expressed his thanks for the donation for their shooting team.
“Surely, this will improve our shooting team which represents the Corps in the different competitions. Even though these firearms are for the use of our shooting team, the whole Marine Corps will definitely benefit from the marksmanship skills that these men and women developed and could spread throughout the Corps.," said Parreno.
These could bring glory and prestige to our beloved Corps as they start collecting awards and celebrating victories”, he said. Robina Asido/DMS
