MMDA, LGUs join forces over clearing operations

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), along with the local government units of Pasig and Pateros, continued its clearing operations Friday.

MMDA chairman Danilo Lim, MMDA general manager Jojo Garcia, DILG Undersecretary Nestor Quinsay Jr., Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, and Pateros Mayor Miguel Ponce supervised the clearing operations.

Personnel from the MMDA sidewalk clearing operations group demolished a security outpost at the intersection of San Joaquin, Pasig City.

The clearing operations also included removal of illegally-parked vehicles. Illegal vendors were given final warning by authorities.

Lim has commended support of Metro Manila mayors as well as the PNP Highway Patrol Group for the agency’s efforts to clear roads. DMS
