More than 100 DND employees underwent random drug testing

More than 100 Department of National Defense (DND) employees underwent random drug testing in Quezon City on Thursday.
Arsenio Andolong, DND spokesman, said the random drug testing was held at the DND building inside Camp Aguinaldo.
"Pursuant to the Department of National Defense Drug-Free Workplace Implementing Plan calendar year 2020 and Department Circular No. 13 dated July 17, 2017, a random drug test was conducted on 104 personnel at the DND," he said.
"The activity, led by the Office of the Undersecretary for Defense Policy, was facilitated by the National Reference Laboratory of the East Avenue Medical Center, an institution accredited by the Department of Health," he added.
Andolong said during the random drug-testing, Major Ma Teresita Cabinte from the Office of the Undersecretary for Defense Policy, explained the DND’s policy mandating this activity among its military and civilian employees. Robina Asido/DMS
