MRT-3 allows passengers to bring liquids which exceed 100ml
February 21, 2019
The Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) announced that a ban on passengers carrying liquids, including those which exceed 100 milliliter, has been lifted.
Liquid items such as water, perfume, hand sanitizer, lotion, rubbing alcohol and others are now allowed to bring when boarding the train, MRT-3 said in a press statement on Wednesday.
However, MRT-3 management said these items should be tested by passengers in front of the security personnel.
"(The liquid items) are required to be tested - water has to be drank, perfume sprayed, lotion or rubbing alcohol should be applied on the hands (of the passenger) in front of our security personnel for verification," the statement read.
It said confiscated items during the implementation of liquid ban in MRT-3 can be retrieved in the Station Control Room depending on which stations the items got confiscated.
"We would like to inform that the previously confiscated items that will not be claimed within 14 days will be disposed by the MRT-3 management." Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
