MRT-3 hopes they can use Dailan trains in daily runs
September 19, 2019
Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) Director for Operations Michael Capati said they are looking forward on inserting three sets of Dalian trains in its daily run.
"We have already accepted three train sets. Given a few days' notice, we can readily insert it once MRT-DOTr (Department of Transportation) and Sumitomo agrees in whatever conditions they have," explained Capati in a press conference Thursday.
According to Capati, the management is waiting for the green light from DOTr and Sumitomo to release and operate the Dailan trains as early as possible.
"We have communication about it but I'm not privy to disclose because it is a top management issue. But we are ready once they give orders," he said.
"We are doing our best to make sure that the Dalian ( trains) are inserted, hopefully this month," he added. Cristina Eloisa Baclig/DMS
