Navy deploys two patrol boats to augment maritime operations in Visayas

The Philippine Navy (PN) deployed on Friday two patrol boats to aid in the maritime operations in the Visayan region.
The Philippine Fleet, through the Littoral Combat Force, sent off Patrol Boat (PB)356 and PB358 of the 5th Patrol Boat Division aboard BRP Bacolod City (LS550) at Captain Moya Boat Landing in Sangley Point, Cavite City to Naval Forces Central Area of Operations.
Littoral Combat Force Commander Captain Alfonso Torres Jr., presided over the send-off ceremony.
After receiving the completeness & readiness for deployment of PB356 and PB358, Torres thanked the combined efforts of the personnel from different naval units involved including the Naval Combat Engineering Brigade, Naval Logistics Center, Naval Shipyard of Naval Sea Systems Command and LS550 of the Sealift Amphibious Force.
