NCR police chief relieves five cops for allegedly settling a case of Chinese man

National Capital Region Police Director Guillermo Eleazar ordered the relief of five Manila cops after allegedly facilitating a settlement for the Chinese man who was accused of molesting three female students inside an amusement park.
Eleazar named the relieved cops from Police Community Precinct 1 as Chief Inspector Remedios Terte, and SPO3 Timothy Mengote, SPO2 Jonathan Bayot, PO3 Archie Rodriguez, and PO3 Ranier Dumancal.
Eleazar said upon hearing the incident, he initially called the station chief of police and Women and Children Protection Desk Officer.
“And accordingly, this was happened at PCP 1 that was referred by the guards and management of the establishment,” said Eleazar Tuesday.
Eleazar said they are still investigating the allegation of the mother of a victims who said the police officer asked for a settlement and treated them poorly.
He said after being referred to the station, they were turned over to the Women and Children Protection Desk and a case of acts of lasciviousness was filed against Zhang Yang, 19, who allegedly molested the three girls.
Zhang also underwent inquest proceedings.
According to Pasay City police chief Senior Superintendent Noel Flores, the cops denied the allegations.
