NCRPO places Metro Manila under ”full alert” after Sulu blast

The National Capitol Region Police Office ( NCRPO) on Friday placed the metropolis under full alert '' as a proactive means'' in response to the terror attack near a military camp in Indanan, Sulu.
''Although there are no threats detected within the National Capital Region but as a proactive means in response to this terror attack, the entire region is now placed under full alert status effective 6 pm today,'' said Police Major General Guillermo Eleazar in a statement.
''Having this measure could mean of great help in deterring unscrupulous individuals in carrying out their illegal or terroristic acts,'' added Eleazar.
Five, including three soldiers, were killed as a bomb exploded near a checkpoint set up by the 1st Brigade Combat Team in its command post in Barangay Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu.
Eleazar said he ''highly encourage the public to remain alert and vigilant.''
