New COVID-19 cases below 1,000 for second day

For the second straight day, the Department of Health (DOH) reported new cases lower than 1,000.
On Tuesday, DOH said new cases reached 634, bringing the total to 57, 545. Active cases, which exclude deaths and recoveries are at 35, 483.
Six deaths from COVID-19 were announced by the DOH while 88 persons have overcome the virus, placing total recoveries at 20,459.
By provinces, National Capitol Region had the highest among newly-announced cases with 360 followed by Laguna at 58, Cebu 32, Bulacan 23 and Cavite 21, the DOH said. DMS
