New COVID-19 cases reach 3,714: DOH

There are 3,714 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases , the Department of Health ( DOH) said Saturday.
Total COVID-19 cases are 232,072, of which 67, 786 are active. Out of the active cases, the DOH said 90.7 percent of the cases are mild, asymptomatic 6.9 percent, critical 1.4 percent and severe 0.9 percent.
The National Capital Region (NCR) topped the list of provinces with new cases with 1,797 followed by Negros Occidental 390, Batangas 248, Laguna 247 and Cavite 150.
Forty-nine persons died from COVID-19, the DOH said bringing total fatalities to 3,737. NCR accounted for 31 of the deaths.
There were 1,088 persons who overcame COVID-19, placing total recoveries to 160 549. DMS
