No casualties, damage in Sarangani quake: NDRRMC

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRM) said as of Friday morning there were no damage and casualty reported because of a magnitude 6 earthquake that hit Sarangani province on Thursday night.
"So far during the midnight reporting no damage reported and no casualty," said Mark Timbal, NDRRMC spokesman.
According to Phivolcs, the epicenter of the earthquake that was tectonic in origin was recorded at 22 kilometers southeast of Maasim, Sarangani around 11:38 pm.
An earthquake bulletin showed that the offshore quake has a depth of 41 kilometers.
Phivolcs said Intensity Five was recorded in General Santos City and Intensity Four in Koronadal City.
Based on their instruments, Phivolcs also recorded Intensity Six in General Santos City, Intensity Five in Tupi, South Cotabato; Malungon, Alabel and Kiamba, Sarangani, Intensity Four in Koronadal City and Intensity One in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental. Robina Asido/DMS
