No leads on burning of tabloid’s printing press: PNP
September 10, 2019
The Philippine National Police ( PNP) on Tuesday urged media practitioners to inform them if they have received any threat after the printing press of a newspaper in Parañaque City was put on fire by four unidentified suspects.
"For media practitioners, if they think that their life or their company has threat, please let us know so that if they have information who could be the suspects behind (the threats)... we can prevent this kind of incident," Police General Oscar Albayalde.
Albayalde said the National Capital Region Police Office is still investigating the incident.
"The investigation is on-going, It looks like they don't have suspect for now and no lead if this is an inside job or not. They cannot still determine the motive or even the persons of interest," he said.
According to a police report, a single-storey industrial building occupied by Prage Management Corp. which was used to print Abante Una sa Balita was set on fire early Monday morning. No casualty was reported. Ella Dionisio/DMS
