No ”validated threat” to oust Duterte: PNP
May 10, 2019
The Philippine National Police ( PNP) on Friday said there are still no "validated threat" that someone wants to oust President Rodrigo Duterte.
"As of now, there are still no validated threats against the President," PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Bernard Banac told reporters.
Banac reiterated they are still validating their reports and did not contribute on the latest matrix released by Malacanang.
"It may come from other sources," he said.
On the alleged inclusion of sports personalities, Hidilyn Diaz and Gretchen Ho, PNP said there are also no valid evidence that links them.
"Well now, based on our record check, we have not seen any connection that will link them to the ouster plot," he said.
Diaz, one of the three Filipino athletes to win an Olympic silver medal, and Ho, an ex-volleybelle who is working for ABS-CBN, were surprised and denied being involved in the matrix which plans to oust Duterte. Ella Dionisio/DMS
