One kilo brick of cocaine found in Camarines Sur

Authorities last Tuesday found a brick of cocaine weighing one kilo and worth P5.6 million in the waters off Camarines Sur.
In a police report, the cocaine, sealed in plastic, was found by residents of Barangay Boclod in San Jose town around 2 pm.
The barangay captain turned over the kilo of cocaine to San Jose municipal police station where authorities brought it to the Philippine National Police provincial crime laboratory where the item was confirmed as cocaine.
Since February last year, Bicol Region police found 51 kilos of cocaine worth P286 million in the waters of Vinzons and Paracale towns in Camarines Norte, Baras and Bagamanoc towns in Catanduanes; and in San Jose, Camarines Sur. Ella Dionisio/DMS
