P10.2 million worth of shabu seized in Pateros

About P10.2 million worth of shabu was confiscated Tuesday afternoon in a buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest of an alleged drug suspect in Pateros.
According to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), around 5:30 pm joint elements of NCRPO Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Pateros police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit-NCR conducted a buy-bust in No.153 P. Rosales Street Alley 2, Unit 12 in Pateros.
The authorities nabbed the suspect identified as Angelo Reyes alias "Litong Pangit", 65.
Police confiscated a total of 1,1500 grams or one and a half kilos of shabu worth P10,200,000, one Toyota Altis, ten bundles of P1,000 boodle money and drug paraphernalias from the suspect.
Investigation by police showed the suspect is allegedly connected to a group of Chinese nationals engaged in illegal drug trade which operates in southern part of Metro Manila and Laguna.
The suspect will face cases for violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Major General Guillermo Eleazar, NCRPO director, said follow-up investigations will be conducted.
