November 28, 2019
Authorities confiscated around P3-million worth of illegal drugs from two alleged drug suspects in Quezon City last Wednesday.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Police Brigadier General Ronnie Montejo identified the suspects as Saida Amatonding, 26, and her cousin Harris Amatonding, 19, both vendors of ready-to-wear (RTW) goods in the city.
Montejo said they received information about the illegal drug activities of the suspects prompting them to set a buy-bust operation.
An undercover operative acted as poseur-buyer and bought six sachets of shabu from the suspects around 11:30 pm at Biak na Bato street corner Quezon Avenue in Barangay Sto. Domingo.
Seized from the suspects were 450 grams of shabu worth P3,060,000.
The suspects and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to La Loma Police Station for proper documentation and investigation.
They will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Ella Dionisio/DMS
