Palace concerned over reported presence of suicide bombers

Malacanang expressed concern on Tuesday over the reported presence of at least two more suicide bombers in the country.
This was after a foreign-looking female suicide bomber tried to attack a military detachment in Indanan, Sulu last Sunday.
"It’s a matter of concern, of course. Anything that will show a rise in terrorism in any area of this country is always a matter of concern," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a press briefing.
He hoped that security forces would intensify their efforts to stop the alleged suicide bombers from sowing terror.
"We hope our security will improve more on their devices to stop this. But you know, sometimes if it is a suicide bomber, it seemed difficult. I'm sure they're doing everything to stop it," Panelo added.
The military has said the suicide bomber in Indanan was wearing an Abaya attire and with long hair based on the recovered mutilated head. However, the recovered dismembered hand was similar to that of a man. Celerina Monte/DMS
