Palace joins Duterte in greeting Filipinos on Easter

The Palace on Sunday joined President Rodrigo Duterte in greeting the Filipinos this Easter season.
"We hope that all of us have the opportunity this Lenten Season to solemnly reflect on the teachings of Christ and the significance of his sacrifice," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement.
He added that Filipinos as a nation should imitate Jesus' holy, moral and noble character and work as a whole in contributing for the development of the country and the attainment of its lasting peace.
"The adversities, setbacks and trials that we face today are the thorns that we have to walk through that we may gradually progress and reach prosperity as well as attain the peace that we all seek," Panelo said.
