Palace on Bikoy’s surfacing: ”You lie in one, you lie in all”

Malacanang belittled on Monday the surfacing of certain Peter Joemel Advincula, who claimed to be the real "Bikoy," the man in a series of video accusing President Rodrigo Duterte's son and his other relatives of alleged involvement in illegal drugs.

Advincula came out in public, reiterating his allegation that Duterte's son, former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, son-in-law Manases Carpio, who is the husband of presidential daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, and former presidential close aide Christopher "Bong" Go were the individuals who were truly included in illegal narcotics.

He appeared at the office of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines to seek legal assistance in filing charges against Paolo, Carpio, Go and the entire Quadrangle Group in Bicol, whom he claimed were the members of the drug syndicate with financial controller based in Hong Kong.

"Like what we've always been saying, the video is a black propaganda against the government," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in an interview by CNN Philippines.

He recalled Go had shown his back to the public to prove he had no tattoo that would link him to the drug syndicate as alleged by Bikoy.

"The tattoo he (Bikoy) claimed was on the back of Bong Go was proven to be false. You lie in one, you lie in all," said Panelo, also the chief presidential legal counsel.

Asked what the government would do now Bikoy surfaced and renewed his allegations against some members of the First Family, Panelo said, "we will leave it to the government agencies concerned."

"We will let the investigators do their job and if they may find any evidence whoever they arrested has violated law then they have to prosecute the person," he added. Celerina Monte/DMS
