Malacañang said on Thursday the seven Chinese nationals caught allegedly illegally dredging in Zambales should be prosecuted.
In a press briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the local government of Zambales should hold the undocumented Chinese workers responsible.
"The Zambales government should have done something about it," he said.
The seven undocumented Chinese nationals reportedly have been involved in the alleged illegal dredging activity in Masinloc. They reportedly have been doing it for 10 months after they were allegedly hired by a Filipino.
"It’s an illegal act and therefore they should be prosecuted, that’s it," Panelo said. Celerina Monte/DMS
