PCG helped eight persons hurt as vehicle falls off cliff in Palawan

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel helped eight persons injured in a road accident in Palawan last Tuesday.
According to the PCG, its personnel in Palawan and Kilos Agad Action Center (KAAC) rescue team assisted eight persons when their vehicle fell off a cliff at Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Aborlan.
“Petty Officer Third Class Anthony Dalingding, Seaman First Ramer Dusong and Apprentice Seaman Lucito Rodriguez were on their way to Coast Guard District Palawan headquarters when they spotted the accident and immediately responded,” the PCG reported Thursday.
An initial report said the driver of the vehicle, “they were heading to Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Aborlan when he experienced steering problem.”
“Mr. Leo E Ciriaco, who was under the influence of liquor and was sitting next to him suddenly, grabbed the steering wheel causing the car to swerve uncontrollably and fell off the cliff,” it stated.
The injured persons were transported to Ospital ng Palawan onboard PCG vehicle and KAAC ambulance.
