PCG rescues more than a dozen persons on motorboat in Surigao

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued more than a dozen persons on a motorboat that developed engine trouble off the waters of Surigao City on Wednesday.
The PCG personnel in Surigao del Norte rescued passengers and crew members of MB Andre Ryan-3 along the vicinity of waters off Surigao Base Port.
The PCG said the boat was carrying 10 passengers and five crew members.
Based on initial report. the boat was on its way to Surigao City from Barangay Cawilan, Taganaan when they encountered engine trouble, particularly in the fuel line.
"The PCG Quick Response Team immediately conducted rescue operations to the distressed motorbanca and safely transferred the passengers onboard PCG rescue boat going to Punta Bilang-Bilang Wharf, Surigao City," the PCG said.
"Subsequently, said motorbanca has been restored after refueling," it added. Robina Asido/DMS
