PCG sends two buses to bring stranded passengers to Cavite

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) deployed two buses on Tuesday to provide free ride for passengers stranded in Parañaque City following the suspension of public transport to prevent further spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
"Yes. We have two buses now at PITX (Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange)," said Commodore Armand Balilo, PCG spokesman said yesterday.Tuesday.
Balilo said deployment of buses aims to provide free transportation to the stranded passengers who are bound to Cavite.
As of 1 pm, the buses were able to accommodate 50 passengers from PITX.
"Before loading the bus, the body temperature of each passengers were checked and the social distancing was implemented inside the bus as part of safety measures against COVID-19," said PCG.
Balilo said only two buses were deployed by PCG to provide free rides as their other vehicles were being used by the "frontliners". DMS
