The Presidential Communications Operations Office ( PCOO) is creating an office that will handle all the concerns of the various media organizations abroad regarding the Duterte administration.
PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said on Sunday that the Office for Global Media Affairs will be handled by Jayvee Arcena, his former colleague at TV5.
"The Global Media Affairs, this will deal on the concerns or questions of various foreign correspondents, not only in the Philippines but globally," he said in a radio interview.
"So, therefore, we will process the questions coming from anywhere in the world - be that from Europe, from America, from Africa, from the Asia-Pacific - if there are questions for our President (Rodrigo Duterte) or other branches of government," he said.
After TV5, Arcena also worked as senior media/information specialist at the US State Department's Asia Pacific Media Hub based in Manila. Celerina Monte/DMS
