PDEA discloses police officer linked to a drug queen

September 19, 2019

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency ( PDEA) on Thursday disclosed a police chief master sergeant is involved with a drug queen who was a  politician.

In a press briefing, PDEA Director Aaron Aquino said the police chief master sergeant is the highest police rank involved with the so-called “drug queen”.

“Senior Police Office 3 (Police Chief Master Sergeant) is the highest rank involved with drug queen… unless there are other police official involved that I don’t know or the Philippine National Police does not know,” he said.

Aquino refused to name the “drug queen” but Aquino said she was a politician who has a large network not only with police officers but also with other local officials.

He said the PDEA and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) tried to conduct an operation in the area of the drug queen but it always turns out “negative”.

“The area is so secure… we already tried operating many times but it always turn negative. We cannot present circumstantial evidence only,” said Aquino.

According to their monitoring, the drug queen distributes around two to three kilos of illegal drugs in just two streets per week.

“We have identified 17 distributors of drugs that is connected to the drug queen and six identified ninja cops,” he said.

He said the PNP has the names of the identified cops.

Asked if the drug queen has connection with the PNP, Aquino said he does not know.

“But we have photos that the identified ninja cops went to her birthday,” he said.

The alleged drug queen was revealed during PDEA’s budget hearing where Aquino mentioned  some rogue cops sell or recycle confiscated drugs to her.  Ella Dionisio/DMS
