PDEA welcomes Jimenez as ICAD co-chairman

The head of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday welcomed the appointment of Dante Jimenez as his co- chairperson in Interageny Committee on Anti- Illegal Drugs (ICAD)
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said Jimenez appointment is a welcome development for the illegal drug campaign of the government.
“Mr. Jimenez, an anti-corruption crusader, will greatly contribute to the illegal drug war of the government since illegal drugs is also link to corruption'', Aquino said in a statement.
“We are looking forward to working with him,” he added.
Duterte appointed Jimenez last February 21 based on the presidential appointees list released on Friday.
Jimenez is the head of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC).
Duterte first appointed Vice President Leni Robredo as Aquino’s co-chair but was removed after 14 days after she communicated with foreign groups such as United Nations (UN). Ella Dionisio/DMS
