Peso, stocks end higher

The peso gained against the US dollar while stocks maintained its climb on Monday.
The peso closed at P53.22 against the greenback from the October 31 closing rate of P53.535. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines went down to$742.25 million from last Wednesday's $1.014 billion.
The Philippine Stock Exchange closed 73.15 points higher to end at 7,213.44 points. In the broader market, there were 100 decliners, 93 decliners and 44 shares unchanged.
Volume reached 2.82 billion shares worth P22.56 billion from last Wednesday's 604.8 million shares valued at P7.26 billion.
Most traded shares were led by Greenenergy, up 318.92 percent to P1.55; BDO, down 0.16 percent to P122.20 and SM Prime, down 0.44 percent to P33.18. DMS
